A Moment Held in Time

I offer a personal life casting service in Suffolk and the surrounding areas, based from my studio in Ixworth. I am focusing on the casting of baby and child hands and feet, but am happy to consider any other life casting request. The final piece can be reproduced into a variety of materials including plaster, cold cast bronze and other metals.

Having two young children myself, I understand how fast time passes and how precious these moments are. I offer a chance to capture a moment in your child’s life.

I had been searching for something special for my wife Georgina, as a mothering Sunday gift. I wanted it to be a surprise and to be personal. The life casts of our three children’s hands was a perfect solution.

Tamsin was wonderful with the children, aged 6 months, 3 and 5, despite our youngest being very wriggly! She managed to make it great fun for us.

Once the casts were ready we discussed the many options of how to display them. I listened to her advice and chose three lovely deep wooden box frames to mount on the wall, one with our baby’s name inside.

All three look fantastic and were well received by my wife and they receive much admiration from friends and family who comment on the detail visible in the casts.
